FAQs

What is an Escape Room?

An Escape Room is a fun game you play with a small group of friends. You are locked in a room and must use teamwork to solve puzzles and escape.

How do I book?

Go to the page of the room you would like to book and select the date and time from the calendar. You will then enter the number of players and pay for your booking.

What age is this for?

The Curse of Captain Kraken and The Grand Gallery Heist are for all ages but some of the puzzles might be tricky for children to access. Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult and it is not recommended for under 10s.

Captain Kraken for Kids is built with families in mind and is suitable for ages 4-10. There must be at least 1 child and 1 adult in your group. This room is occasionally available during school holidays. Keep an eye on our social media for updates on when it will next be available.

How much does it cost?

Most games are £23 per person for 3+ players. For 2 players the cost is £25 per person.

Captain Kraken for Kids is £60 for a maximum of 4 people with each additional person £10 each.

How long does it take?

You have 1 hour to solve all the puzzles and exit the room.

Captain Kraken for kids is 45 minutes.

How many people is it for?

You can have 2 to 6 players. The more players you have the easier it will be!

Is it hard?

The puzzles are designed to be challenging but accessible. If you get stuck your team can choose to ask for a clue so it should never be frustrating.

What are your opening hours?

We have time slots available throughout the day and evening Friday to Sunday. These can be booked via our website. If you need a timeslot outside of these hours please send us an email and we will attempt to accommodate your needs.

Where are you?

We are attached to South Angle Farm Park in Soham. We can be easily found on Google maps or by using CB7 5HX in a sat nav and following signs for the farm park (continue over the train track, then turn right and follow the road).

You will pass the entrance to the Escape Rooms on your way to the parking.

Can I book for today?

For last minute availability please send a WhatsApp or SMS to 07834 878785 and we will fit you in if we can.

What time should I arrive?

Please aim to arrive 15 minutes before your start time so we can check you in and give you the briefing.

If you are running late please send a WhatsApp or SMS to 07834 878785 and we will do our best to accommodate you. If you arrive late we may have to reduce your game time.

Can I add an extra person?

Yes. Extra people can be paid for on the day. The maximum number is 6.

Does the price include entrance to South Angle Farm Park?

We are a separate business to the farm park so entrance is not included in the price.

There is access to the farm for parking, to use the toilets, and the cafe.

Is there parking?

Yes. We are attached to South Angle Farm Park so there is plenty of parking.

Are there toilets?

Yes There are toilets on site you can use before and after the game.

Food and drink?

We have a cafe on site which your team can visit after the game. We serve coffee, cake, ice creams, pizzas and much more. The cafe is open from 11am to 5pm.

We do not allow food and drink in the Escape Room.

Can I arrive by public transport?

There are buses to Soham from Ely and Newmarket. However, it is a 25 minute walk from the town centre.

There are also trains to Soham and it is a 20 minute walk from the train station.

Will I have to play with strangers?

No. You book for your team and have the room to yourself.

I’m claustrophobic. Will I be ok?

For safety the door you enter through is never locked so you are able to leave any time if you feel unwell. You will never be forced to enter small spaces. If you have any questions please send us an email.

Is it safe?

Yes. You are never asked to do anything physically difficult. For fire safety the door you enter through is never locked.

Are your rooms accessible?

We aim to have our rooms accessible wherever possible. Please bear in mind that:

  1. The rooms may be very dark.
  2. Some puzzles involve reaching for items and other non-strenuous physical activity.

Unfortunately The Curse of Captain Kraken does have a high step which may be a problem for people with reduced mobility. If you would like to discuss ways in which we can make it accessible for you then please contact us.
